I started caving in 2010 after graduating with my BFA in Sculpture. Wood carving became more then a hobby after graduating with my MA in Theater Arts in 2013. I picked up this as a hobby after spending years watching my grandfather design and produce wood carvings and fell in love with it.
Each carving is designed, carved and painted in my shop in Ohio. I use wood scraps from various places to make the carving, but primarily use Pine, Basswood and Poplar, but will use any type of lumber I can get my hands on. I like to use as much scrap wood and found materials as I can.
Much of my inspiration comes from American and European folk art, as well as my grandfather.
Thank you for visiting,
